John Barbour set up his first store in South Shields in the North East of England in 1894 providing garments for sailors, fishermen, rivermen and dockers to protect them from the worst of the North Sea weather. The iconic collection of waxed jackets that made Barbour a household name in the 1980s have become staple garments that are functional, versatile and effortless to wear.
This season we have 4 different collections from Barbour so we thought we would go out and about to showcase the products.
