Founded in 1935 in Osaka, Japan Descente pioneered the development and manufacture of high performance technical fabric for active sportswear. Their directional move into skiwear apparel happened in 1957 and since then the brand has led the way for technical innovations in their field.

Descente’s philosophy places a heavy emphasis on exceptional craftmanship and care which is sustained throughout the whole manufacturing process. Behind every Descente product is a rich history of groundbreaking design and technical expertise.

The Autumn/Winter collection is comprised of lightweight technical fabrics such as the super light woven polyester and vintage taste cotton that adapts and protects in several weather conditions.

The standout piece from the collection is the MIZUSAWA DOWN JACKET which offers an extremely high level of waterproofing with its heat welded, non-quilted, seam tape construction. This is most definitely a signature item, designed for extreme weather conditions, it even comes equipped with the RECCO electronic avalanche rescue system which is used by more than 700 rescue organisations worldwide to find buried avalanche victims…..pretty impressive eh?
