Hamilton Carhartt began his brand in 1889 sensing a distinct lack of top quality work wear apparel in the US market. After consulting with railroad workers up and down the country he set about creating a sturdy pair of overalls constructed from super thick cotton which was then triple stitched to ensure ultimate durability. These soon became the un-official uniform of US railroad workers far and wide.
The WIP side of the business has been going since 1997 and provides a range of modern classics reinterpreted from the brands rich heritage and archive. Key pieces from Autumn/Winter are the Crandall Shirt, Sheffield Jacket and the Collage Sweatshirt.
