If you get your shoes wet, allow them to dry naturally, away from direct heat for at least 48 hours. Shoe trees or newspaper can help to draw out the moisture naturally and avoid the cracking and damage that direct heat causes. Keeping your shoes dry will reduce the rate at which they wear.
