Ideas from Massimo Osti volume 2, is the second edition of the official monograph of one of the most influential and imitated names in Italian fashion history. The book, which tells the story of the so called “godfather of sportswear” who worked from Bologna, Italy all his life, was written and edited by his wife Daniela Facchinato and features more than 1000 images including 175 newly photographed individual garments, never seen before sketches & notes from Osti’s personal notebooks, mock-ups of logos, dyeing tests and samples as well as interviews and appreciations from close collaborators, fashion designers and legendary magazine editors.

This new edition is an extremely wide-spanning look at the achievements and influence of the man responsible for Stone Island and CP Company and inventor of industry shifting dyeing techniques, with an in-depth look at his progression as a designer through the brands and labels he created right from the beginnings with Chester Perry, together with insights in to his own personal inspirations such as military outerwear and deep sea diving equipment.
