It’s that time of year again where menswear designers get ready to show at Paris, Milan, New York and of course London, only for everybody to pay more attention to what the attendees of the shows are wearing as they queue up outside. Over the weekend, we headed down to London Collections Men to do exactly that and bring you some summer style inspiration, straight from the streets of London. Here we’ve selected our top 5 stylish guys and provided you with a heads up on how to get their looks.
LOOK 1
This sports-smart look is one of this season’s stand-out trends and was unavoidable amongst the guests at LCM – this guy gets it spot on in a fresh, monochrome colour palette and looks so cool that we wonder why we haven’t been combining formal trousers with sweats and trainers all along.
LOOK 2
When it comes to fashion week, you see some pretty weird and wonderful styles hitting the streets (the guy who turned himself in to some kind of alien with facial piercings and tattooed eyeballs did not make our list) which is probably why this guy stood out to us, for looking effortlessly cool in a pair of indigo Nudie Jeans.
LOOK 3
Bomber jacket, light blue washed jeans and premium sneakers – 3 big spring/summer trends rolled in to one, by this super-casual guy who has an air of ‘I woke up like this’ effortlessness to him. You might not be able to buy his attitude, but you can get pretty close to stealing his clobber.
LOOK 4
This guy may or may not have made our top 5 due to the fact he has a folding bike, which is pretty stylish in itself, by the time he had unfolded his super-hipster device, he had us stood in his path asking to take his picture. This perfect smart casual look has him set for a day at the shows as well as a trip down to the pub later on.
LOOK 5
We love this guy’s understated casual look, in one of this season’s most popular colour combo’s – khaki and black. This is the perfect look for rainy summer days, combining a waterproof jacket with shorts for a look that will keep him cool and dry.
