Whilst the country has been going sport mad for the past few weeks we have continued to add brand new lines to our collection. We have picked out some of our favourites from last week to take closer look at.
Aquascutum is quintessentially British, so that would explain why they are renown for their amazing trench coat. First crafted for the British Army in 1914 and can be viewed as the ideal overcoat for the man in a suit. This season is no different, crafted from a showerproof, durable cotton-blend, this classic rain coat sports a flat pointed collar, a back vent for comfort and a concealed front button fastening. The fit is regular and the brand’s famous club check sit along the collar lining. This piece is versatile enough to wear over a suit or with jeans and a shirt for a stylish, casual look.
One of the standouts of the sport fashion world Adidas’ Originals collection perfectly encapsulates the two. One of the new arrivals that has perked our interest is their latest take on the iconic Samba shoe. The Samba Recon LT is a premium take on Adidas’ seminal Samba, the oldest of their models still in production. This updated take on it sports redeveloped shapes and a luxury leather construction. Retaining the authentic gum sole, Adidas mix things up with an oversized, fold-over tongue.
From the brand that brought us the Desert Boot and other suede wonders, Clarks Orignals are now trying to develop an everyday trainer that has the same style and comfort that we expect from the brand. The Clarks Originals Trigenic Dry GTX, a hybrid of the famous Wallabee moccasin and a trainer is what they have been producing for a few seasons now. Equipped with a Gore-Tex membrane for ultimate moisture and temperature management, this luxury edition sports a hi-tech, translucent Vibram mid sole. The upper consists of premium nubuck and leather, with the iconic Clarks hang tag, rendered here in matching nubuck.
A new brand to our collection last season, Nubikk offer premium, clean cut footwear. The brand is a fairly new one too having started in 2012 but we are a massive fan of the minimalist style. Nubikk’s Scott Gomma is a low-top trainer constructed from premium rubberised leather. Featuring the brand’s signature double tongue, a lightweight outsole and flat nylon laces. A really good reliable and versatile shoe to add something to your wardrobe.
As one of the world’s leading designer lifestyle brands, Tommy Hilfiger’s premium styling and quality is unparalleled. Recognised for celebrating the essence of classic American cool, Tommy Hilfiger features preppy-with-a-twist designs that quickly become modern classics. This season is no different and can be seen with this piece, sporting an understated check, this shirt is crafted from premium cotton poplin with a chambray finish. Featuring a button-down collar, signature accent tape at the neck lining and the iconic Tommy flag embroidered at the chest.
Boss is one of our staples, it is a brand that appeals to the everyday man who is heading of for a night on the town, has an affinity to the businessman ready for a day in the office and also to the more sport conscious man. A Boss stalwart, the Pallas Polo Shirt is a short sleeve piece in fine, yarn-dyed pima cotton piqué. Featuring tonal embroidery branding at the chest, flat-knit cuffs and a two-button placket.
Barbour is renown for its waxed jackets and tartan patterns and they have not disappointed this season. The British heritage brand has dropped some wonderful new pieces so far and the Stapleton John shirt is a bold tartan shirt inspired by Barbour’s Scottish heritage. Crafted from cotton twill, this shirt is cut for a contemporary tailored fit and styled with a neat button-down collar with single chest pocket above its curved hem. Featuring a branded side-flag at the chest and adjustable cuffs.
