The winter weather is breathing down on us and we are starting to feel the chill. For the late autumn and winter months a jacket will be an essential, one option we are always excited about is the quilted jacket. One of the more practical and stylish options on the market, a quilted jacket is defined by a run of stitching that combines two pieces of fabric and is normally done in a decorative way to add something extra to the jacket. A lightweight yet warm option this is the perfect option for days when you are place to place as it isn’t too much to carry around with you.
We have gone and picked out 5 of our favourites for the AW18 season to have a closer look at, check them out below,
Part of Barbour’s Beacon collection, the Sterling Jacket is a natural choice for when the nights begin to draw in. It has a diamond-quilt design for insulation, a classic cord collar and high-quality branded snap-buttons. The Barbour Beacon logo is embroidered at the left pocket. The most affordable option out of the 5 but not a cheap option, combining over 100 years of outwear excellence from Barbour and incorporating it into a more youthful and vibrant style.

In transitional weather or during demanding activities, you need the flexibility of a robust, yet featherweight insulating layer. With its extra-cosy layer of thick duck down and an adjustable hood, the Helium Jacket from Peak Performance is ideal for use both as an outer layer or under a shell. Water-repellent and wind-resistant, it packs down small so you can take it with you anywhere. Replete with technical details, this Emporio Armani Down Jacket is sure to turn heads this winter. It is filled with white duck and feather down for extra-cold weather protection and is completely reversible. The other side displays a bold metallic tone all-over, while all the internal pockets and hood are fully functional when reversed. It packs up into the attached branded nylon bag, which folds into one of the pockets when not in use. A truly versatile piece. This may be the most expensive option we have picked out but remember this jacket is reversible so when you are trying to justify your purchase just say that it counts as two jackets.
