The legendary Stan Smith has been one of Adidas Originals most successful silhouettes and the overwhelming popularity of the Stan Smith sneaker is showing no signs of fading. New variations of this iconic style of trainer have been released over the past few months and it’s latest drop of the Lea Sock focusses solely on superior comfort with minimal style.
The clean, crisp design is constructed from ultra smooth leather uppers with a soft one-piece leather upper to provide extra comfort which gives it the sock-like construction. It has received laser treatment to attach the tongue to the rest of the sneaker which eliminates factors of discomfort like seams and stitching. The colour ways have also been considered and they have retained a sophisticated update of white and black variations with an off-white contrasted sole, also featuring silver accents on the eyelets. Each in keeping with the subtle and accustomed three stripes perforated into the body, giving it a clean look with added breathability, not forgetting the printed Stan Smith branding to the tongue which has been printed in an understated manner.

It was in the 90s that it really took off into street culture’s new wave adopted the shoe and moved away from the tennis and into the lifestyle category.
