Ok so we had a little fun with this one, a visit to Kingfisher Fish & Chip shop in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, a portion of chips each and a mooch around the shops, not a bad way to spend a Monday! But aside from having a day out of the office, we also got to take one of our favourite brands out for a spin; PS Paul Smith. Four looks, curated by Woodhouse for your everyday style inspiration. We’ve gone for some light layering with the fluctuating temperatures and inclement weather in mind so all four offer serious versatility and, of course, bucket loads of style.
To start with, we’ve gone with a classic denim jean. It’s kept casual with a burgundy long sleeve t-shirt – an oft overlooked style but an absolute essential for Autumn. This zip-up, fold-down-collared sweat offers some warmth and an alternative to the standard crew neck or hoodie. Plus the colour is perfect with pretty much anything, including burgundy and navy, thankfully. The Jacket is an absolute winner, a classic zip up style with a nice roomy hood, front flap pockets and some subtle branding to the cuff; perfect for your Autumn adventures. Don’t forget your white leather trainers, keeping things classic and comfortable.
Look 2 is built around the gilet. A stalwart of transitional style, this version has a unique texture and subtle colour trims and pocket detailing. Not to mention the khaki tones which are perfect for the new season palette. A slim leg jogger with contrasting pockets and classic grey 1/4 zip knit set the tone perfectly, a moon-design long sleeved t-shirt adds some interest and the muted black cap and trainers anchor the look.
We couldn’t put 4 Smithy looks together without featuring one of their classic zebra polos. This one comes in the sky blue tone and we’ve paired it with a muted hoodie and dark denim. The boots have a contrast sole for interest and a slim, softer silhouette for ultimate comfort and a a relaxed feel. The finishing touch is the overshirt; an essential for layering this season, this version has a slight shimmer to the fabric and some functional touches which give a utility feel while the colour and branding add a little fun.
A slim cargo style trouser has proven a seriously sought-after style this season. We’ve paired these with a white zebra graphic t-shirt, classic grey sweat and black smock jacket. Such a simple look with a comfortable yet classy feel to it, a truly versatile outfit, perfect for the weekend.
